West Vancouver is a district municipality which is part of the Greater Vancouver Regional District (GVRD) in the Province of British Columbia, Canada, located north of City of Vancouver on Burrard Inlet and Howe Sound. It is located on the North Shore and is adjoined with the District of North Vancouver. Population (2001 census) 41,421. It takes between 10 (closest area) and 50 minutes to get to downtown Vancouver by bus which is very frequent. Also, you can get to Horseshoe Bay and take a ferry from there to Nanaimo, Bowen Island and the Sunshine Coast.
