Toys "R" Us

The title given to this article is incorrect due to technical limitations. The correct title is Toys "Я" Us.

Toys "Я" Us is a toy store chain based in the United States.

In the 1970s, Geoffrey Giraffe, an anthropomorphic giraffe cartoon character was introduced as its mascot, appearing in the company's television commercials. Later a live-action animatronic Geoffrey was used, created by Stan Winston Studios and voiced by Jim Hanks.

Two other chains, Kids "Я" Us and Babies "Я" Us, are owned by Toys "Я" Us.

Due to market pressures (primarly competition from Wal-Mart), Toys "Я" Us is moving away from the toy business and focusing instead on its other chains.
