Symphony No. 2 (Beethoven)

   

Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony Number 2 in D Major (Opus 36).

This symphony consists of four movements:

  1. Adagio molto -- Allegro con brio
  2. Larghetto
  3. Scherzo (Allegro)
  4. Allegro molto

The work was premiered in the Theater an der Wien in Vienna on April 5, 1803. It is one of the last works of Beethoven's so-called "early period".
