Subway
The word Subway has a number of uses:
- In American and Canadian English, it refers to a mass transit system with trains that operate underground; also known as a metro or rapid transit system (see also List of metro systems).
- In both the UK and North America is a pedestrian tunnel that goes under a road.
- Subway (sandwich) is the trade name of a multinational franchising company selling sandwiches and salads.
- Subway (movie) is a 1985 French movie by Luc Besson.
- "Subway" is the name of an acclaimed episode of the American TV series Homicide: Life on the Street that aired in the show's 1997-98 season.
