The Shadow Wars refer to the great wars involving the Shadows in the television science fiction series Babylon 5.
First Shadow War
The first Shadow War occurred in the year 1260, in which the Shadows battled an alliance of races led by the Vorlons and Minbari. The use of Babylon 4, brought back in time from a thousand years in the future, was pivotal to the defeat of the Shadows.

Second Shadow War
The second Shadow War occurred one thousand year later in 2260, in which the Shadows battled the combined forces of the Earth Alliance, Minbari Federation, Narn Regime, the League of Non-Aligned Worlds, and the Vorlon Empire. The end of the war saw the return of the First Ones and their final departure -- along with the Shadows and Vorlons -- from the galaxy.
