Nicky Butt
Nicholas Butt is a professional footballer for Newcastle United, having moved there from Manchester United after the 2003-04 season. He plays in midfield and is also a current England international.
After two seasons of occassional first team appearances mostly in the League Cup, Butt became a regular player in the Manchester United team from 1994-95 onwards. He won his first England cap during the 1997-98 season, but at club level with Manchester United he collected a whole host of honours: six Premiership titles, four F.A. Cups and one European Cup. He was finally transferred to Newcastle United for £2million in July 2004, by that stage the 29-year-old Butt had lost his place in the Old Trafford first team to Paul Scholes.
