Mizen Head
Mizen Head is on of the extreme points on the island of Ireland, and is described as "the southwesternmost point in Ireland". The area is in west County Cork, Republic of Ireland, and is a tourist attraction. There is an old signalling station and weather station located on the outcrop, as well as a lighthouse. The signalling station is now open to tourists and forms a museum. The "99 steps" are a long series of steps on the pathway across to the rocky outcrop upon which the station was built.
