Masjed Soleyman

   

Masjed Soleyman (also Masjid Soleiman and Masjid-al-Salaman) (مسجد سلیمان in Persian) is a town in the southwestern province of Khuzestan, Iran. Khuzestan means place of Khuz people who were native to this place before Cyrus the Great. After the advent of Islam (around 640 AD), Arabs conquered this part of Iran and started settling there.
