Mamaia, as seen from above

Mamaia is a summer resort, the biggest resort on the western shore of Black Sea. It is situated north-east of Constanţa, Romania. Mamaia has almost no full time residents, mostly being populated only in summer.

Mamaia is 8 km (5 miles) in length and only 300m (300 yards)in width, being a strip of land between the Black Sea and the lake Siutghiol.

Leisure activities have developped considerably in past years, Mamaia being now the best destination for watersports in Romania, sports which can be practiced both on the sea but also on the Siutghiol lake.

Amenities are very good, most of them being brand new or modernized recently. Natural conditions are also excellent: wide and very sandy beaches, pleasant breeze, and warm seawaters.
