Lira (Malta)

The lira is the currency of the Mediterranean country of Malta, although that country's entry into the European Union means it will be completely replaced by the Euro, by 2006.

Lira is also the name of the currency of Cyprus and Turkey, and was the currency in Italy and San Marino before being replaced by the Euro.
