Lone Star (movie)
Lone Star is a 1996 mystery movie set in a small town in Texas. It stars Chris Cooper, Elizabeth Pena, Kris Kristofferson, and Matthew McConaughey. It was written and directed by John Sayles.
In 1996, the film won Best Film, and Sayles and Cooper won awards, along with Ron Canada and Frances McDormand at the Lone Star Film & Television Awards. In 1997, Sayles was nominated for an Oscar Award for Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen.
