London SE1
London SE1 is the London postal district covering the area of central London south of the river Thames, between Vauxhall Bridge and St Saviour's Dock, which is just to the east of Tower Bridge.
Localities within SE1 include Bankside, the South Bank, The Borough and parts of Bermondsey.
The riverside has become a focus for artistic activity and tourist attractions in recent years, including:
- South Bank Centre comprising the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Hayward Gallery
- Royal National Theatre and National Film Theatre
- The replica of the Globe Theatre
- Tate Modern
- City Hall (London)
- Borough Market
- County Hall
- London Dungeon
- Saatchi Gallery
- the London Eye
- London Millennium Bridge.
Most of SE1 is within the London Borough of Southwark, but the western part falls within the London Borough of Lambeth.
Waterloo station is in SE1.
