The London Borough of Bexley is a London borough in southeast outer London. It has common borders with the London Borough of Bromley to the south, the London Borough of Greenwich to the west, and Dartford borough in Kent to the east. The River Thames is its northernmost boundary with the London Borough of Havering. The borough is twinned with Evry in France and with Arnsberg in Germany.

The borough was formed in 1965 by the merger of the Kent boroughs of Bexley, and Erith and the Crayford urban district, and half of Chislehurst and Sidcup urban district.

Although part of suburban London there is much open land. The line of higher land, mostly heathland, which follows the course of the River Thames, crosses the borough in Belvedere, where it is named Lessness Heath. In the woodlands on this heath lie the ruins of Lesnes Abbey. Danson Park, near Welling and Hall Place Gardens provide public open spaces. To the south of the borough, Foots Cray Meadows flank the River Cray, which joins the River Darenth north of Dartford and flows through the borough.
