Lockheed Martin is an aerospace manufacturer formed in 1995 by the merger of Lockheed Corporation with Martin Marietta. It is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland and employs 130,000 people worldwide. Robert J. Stevens is the CEO.

It is a major defense contractor. Nearly 80% of Lockheed Martin's customer base is with the U.S. Department of Defense and other U.S. federal government agencies.

Lockheed Martin has managed Sandia National Laboratories for the United States Department of Energy since 1993.
