Lo sposo deluso

   

Lo sposo deluso is a 2-act opera buffa, K. 430, written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in 1783. Of this opera only a fragment exists, amounting to 20 minutes. The following sections exist, all from Act 1:

1. Overtura - an upbeat, presto instrumental piece which develops into a more lethargic pensive mood

2. Quartetto Ah, ah che ridere

4. Aria Dove mai trovar quel ciglio? Fragment

5. Terzetto Che accidenti

Parts: Bocconio, Don Asdrubale, Eugenia

It may be translated as The Deluded Bridegroom, or more loosely as The Rivalry of Three Women for One Lover
