Livingston F.C.

   

Livingston F.C. are an Scottish football team currently playing in the Scottish Premier League.

The club was previously known as Ferranti Thistle from 1943 and Meadowbank Thistle from 1974. This was changed to Livington in 1995. They managed to win the Third Division in 1996 and since then they have progressed through the leagues, finally reaching the SPL in 2001 having won the First Division.

In their first season in the SPL, Livington finished third and therefore went into the UEFA Cup. They were beaten in the UEFA Cup first round losing 9-7 of aggregate to Austrian team SK Sturm Graz.

They won their first major trophy in 2004 by winning the Scottish League Cup after a 2-0 win over Hibernian F.C. at Hampden Park.
