Governors

Butler resigned on August 9. The Lieutenant-Governor and Chief Justice of Tasmania, Justice William Cox, served as Acting Governor. On November 18 it was announced that Cox will officially be appointed the state's next Governor. He will be officially sworn in on December 15.
