Krypto

Krypto was Superman's dog in the Pre-Crisis DC Comics. He was drawn as a white dog of generic pedigree (although a white Parson Russell Terrier is most likely) that had a gold collar, a miniature facsimile of the famed S symbol for a tag, as well as the same emblem on his cape. He was possessed of the same powers and abilities as his master, Superman, although his physical abilities were proportionate to his smaller size.

In recent years, Krypto has returned to the Superman mythos. Superman has gone to great lengths to train the dog, and he now accompanies the Man of Steel on missions. Batman never misses an opportunity to make fun of the dog when he and Superman don't see eye-to-eye.
