Joe Young

Joe Young (born July 4, 1889 in New York City, died April 21, 1939 New York City) was a songwriter from the 1920s. During World War I, he toured Europe, entertaining troops as a singer. He wrote his first major hit, "Don't Blame it all on Broadway", in 1914. His longtime partnership with Sam M. Lewis began in 1916 and would last until 1930, after which he would never collaborate with another lyricist.

He was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1970.
