Humanitarianism

   

Humanitarianism is the view (considered by some leftist) that all people are human beings, with the right to live free. It is the antithesis of the "us vs. them" mentality which characterizes tribalism and ethnic nationalism. Humanitarianism proscribes slavery, cannibalism, and discrimination on the basis of features such as color of skin, ancestry, place of birth, etc.
