Harvey Sachs

The American conductor and writer Harvey Sachs (born 1946) has written a number of books on musical subjects, most notably the standard biography of and a book of essays on the Italian conductor Arturo Toscanini. Sachs also edited a collection of Toscanini's letters.

More recently, Sachs wrote the definitive biography of Arthur Rubinstein, clarifying many of the inaccuracies contained in Rubinstein's two memoirs.
