Bright Young Things
Bright Young Things is a 2003 movie directed by Stephen Fry; the film represents the directorial debut for the British actor and presenter. It is a faithful adaptation of the satirical 1930 novel Vile Bodies, written by Evelyn Waugh.
Compared to other period films, Bright Young Things is relatively fast-paced, due to the film focussing on fame and the frenzy of the media.
The central plot is a romance story, but the film provides social commentary on younger people in the 1930s, as well as society in general.
