Aliphatic

   

In chemistry, non-aromatic organic compounds are called aliphatic. They include not only the fatty acids and other derivatives of the paraffin hydrocarbons, but also unsaturated compounds, such as the ethylene (alkene) and acetylene (alkyne) series.
