Alex Rae

Alex Rae is a professional football midfielder who currently plays for Rangers F.C..

He started his career as a youngster at Rangers but was rejected by boss Graeme Souness. He joined Falkirk and enjoyed a successful two years. He was signed by Millwall F.C. in 1990 for £100,000. His form for Millwall earned him a big money move to Sunderland for £1 million in 1996. After dropping out of manager Peter Reid's plans, he was signed by Wolves in 2001 again for £1 million. He quickly became an important player for Wolves and helped them back into the Premiership in season 2003-04.

He fulfilled a lifetime ambition, however, in 2004 when he signed for Rangers, thereby giving him the chance to again play for his boyhood heroes.
